Buick Enclave Maintenance Checklist

2022 Buick Enclave

To get the most out of your Buick Enclave, you need to stay on top of regular service tasks. Joseph Buick GMC is here to help with your Buick maintenance. Let’s take a look at Buick maintenance checklist items you should keep an eye on. Consult your My GMC Rewards for more service details.

What Can I Check & When?

When fueling up, take the time to check your oil level and coolant level, your windshield washer fluid level, and check your tire pressure. You’ll want to check your coolant level, your tire pressure, the headlights, taillights, and all other exterior lights, and check your lug nuts monthly.

Twice a year, you need to check out the hoses on your radiator, heater, and air conditioning. Take a look at your windshield wipers and spray components — the wipers can go bad without much warning. Also check your seatbelts, your headlights, muffler, and exhaust pipes.

Every year or so, check and clean all the exterior drains on your car’s body. Lubricate all the door and hood hinges, check the transmission lubrication and have it changed out. Check and clean the battery and terminal connections, and check your brake fluid level, as well.

Oil Changes

The core of your Enclave’s service remains the same: keeping up with Buick oil change service. For years, the common wisdom held that you must change your oil every 3,000 miles. With updates and advances in synthetic engine lubricants, this advice has been modified.

It is now recommended that you have your oil changed every 5,000 to 7,500 miles for optimal engine function. Fresh oil helps keep your motor well-lubricated and keeps the parts from wearing each other down too fast.

Long Term Service Tiers & Tires

Beyond regular maintenance and service checks, there are other tiers of long-term service that are important to keep in mind. At 20,000, 40,000, and 60,000 miles, you’ll need to keep up with tasks such as:

  • air filter check
  • brake lines and hoses
  • inspect transmission
  • inspect all steering components
  • inspect exhaust components
  • inspect ball joints and dust covers

Also, keep an eye on your Buick tires. The tires should be rotated every 20,000 to 30,000 miles to prevent uneven wear and avoid a blowout on the highway.
